Name Electrical Engineer
Job Synopsis

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Proven Electrical design experience (5 – 10 yrs) in upstream offshore/onshore O & G production, processing and utilities facilities, Experience with offshore projects in Arabian Gulf or similar environment is expected. Competency in understanding, applying and enforcing advanced knowledge of international codes and standards is required as they pertain to both hazardous and non-classified locations in O & G production and processing facilities. Will possess a sound understanding and detail knowledge of various HV & LV electrical systems. Should have ability to understand new concepts and processes and translate into requirements to meet the Company goals and objectives.

Should be able to work within a friendly team environment and possess excellent communication, presentation, influencing and behavioural skills. Fluency in English and good computer literacy are essential. Should be competent in utilising related Electrical system study software (e.g. EDSA, ETAP etc) applications as used in the industry.

Job Purpose/Responsibilities

Provide the guidance and assistance for design support in the development and integration of different Electrical systems and distribution. Introduce the necessary expertise and engineering skills to lead in the identification of short term tactical plans and longer term strategic goals for the development of Electrical power generation and distribution systems throughout the company’s offshore and onshore facilities. Provide Electrical Discipline technical services for Pan–Company support of Projects and act as technical authority for related engineering activities. Execute work seamlessly within the C & E Team of the Discipline Engineering Division, within the Projects & Engineering Business Unit. To co-ordinate with Company Divisions and Assets to support investigation of operational or business development opportunities / Standardisation / KPI’s etc. 

Participate in the development of Company knowledge sharing networks to promote discipline excellence. The position is responsible to ensure that proven state-of-the-art technology is applied in the selection of all Electrical equipment and packages and material while participating in all phases of projects. Ensure that the development of all Electrical design and engineering work is safe, reliable, uniform, standardized, compatible and at optimum levels.

Qualification Related Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
