Knowledge, Skills & Experience

7 years of minimum experience in structural design & engineering out of which minimum 4 years in the area of offshore structures for oil and gas industry & preferably minimum 3 yrs experience in an operating oil and gas company. Proficiency in using SACS design engineering software.  Should have good communication and presentation skill and good computer literacy.

Job Purpose/Responsibilities

Provide Design and engineering support for Structural Engineering activities in the Company.  Assist in Technical auditing of Structural studies and modifications carried out by different divisions of the company. Carry out evaluation & selection of new technology for structural applications in the company. Maintain and update weight control report and SACS analysis file for offshore structures and facilities.

Ensure implementation of company standards, codes & practices across all company projects & approve deviations from standard practices on Structural issues, as applicable. Prepare, maintain & update Company Structural Standards.

Provide structural engineering support in specific areas like carrying out geotechnical investigations, collection of met ocean data etc.  Carry out structural integrity assessment studies of existing offshore platforms. Provide inputs for Implementation of Structural Integrity Management System (SIMS). Participate in development of National graduates.
