Das Island represents the focal process area of ADMA-OPCO production. It contains the oil and gas processing, storage and export facilities, the utilities, power generation and accommodation sites. The partially degassed oil and gas from the Umm Shaif and Zakum Super Complexes and from Bunduq field are transmitted to Das Island. The processing facilities on Das Island under ADMA-OPCO operation comprise Zakum plant, Umm Shaif Plant, Bunduq Plant, the Condensate treatment unit, dehydration/desalting units and the gas-sweetening unit. The gas separated from the different pressure stages, having been processed in these plants, is delivered to ADGAS LNG process area. Part of it is used as fuel gas. The processed crude is routed to the storage tanks. |

Zakum West Super Complex is situated some 6 miles to the west of ZCSC. The Super Complex was commissioned in May 1978 and consists of seven platforms. ZCSC was partially de-mothballed and brought back to the stream in November 1990. Phase-II of de-mothballing and re-commissioning the power generation, the water treatment and the injection facilities was completed in 1993.The crude produced from the eastern sector of the field was initially routed to the 30” MOL to Das un-supported. In 1989 the 24” ZCSC-ZWSC line was converted to oil service where the oil was transferred to ZWSC for degassing process. The partially degassed crude is naturally driven to Das Island via the 30" MOL for further separation, storage and exporting.
Oil production in the ADMA-OPCO concession are is according to the shareholders requirments. The annual average production is in the range of 450 MBD. Ambitious plans to increase production to achieve an average capacity of 600 MBD are underway as mentioned in the objectives. |
